NordCNC provides precise and flexible CNC wood milling for business customers. Wood milling, wood machining and woodworking are cost-effective with us – from individual prototypes to repeat production runs. We deliver quickly from Tampere and Helsinki throughout Finland, without red tape.

How does CNC wood milling work?

  • Files – we accept DXF/DWG/STEP/PDF files and sketches.
  • Quote within 24 h – we review the materials and plans, then send a cost estimate.
  • Prototype / pre-production run – we manufacture a test piece or a small batch for approval.
  • Production & delivery – we ensure quality and deliver throughout Finland.

How we work — from CAD to CNC: Precision without the headaches

We know your time is limited. That is why our CNC milling service in Finland is designed to be smooth, straightforward and technically reliable — from the first idea to final delivery.

Whether you are a designer, architect or production manager, we help you avoid delays, misunderstandings and costly rework through transparent steps and practical support.

  • Idea or drawing — Send us a sketch, CAD file or just an idea. We turn it into a production-ready design.
  • Material and feasibility review — We recommend the best materials based on your design, intended use and budget.
  • Quotation and lead time — You receive a clear quotation: price, schedule and any alternatives. No surprises.
  • CNC production — High-precision milling with industrial reliability using approved materials.
  • Finishing and assembly (optional) — Surface treatment, polishing or assembly according to the intended end use.
  • Collection or delivery — You receive the parts exactly as ordered — ready for installation or further processing.

Materials and precision

CNC wood milling is particularly suitable for solid woods such as birch, oak, pine and alder. When it comes to wood milling for architecture, furniture or prototypes, we take grain direction, density and moisture content into account to ensure that wood machining is both precise and clean in its surface finish. Birch and oak allow fine details with small cutters, while pine can be milled at higher feed rates without tear-out. Typical dimensional accuracy is ±0,1–0,3 mm, and we adjust spindle speed and feed rate to suit the pattern being machined, ensuring that woodworking maintains both precision and production speed.

Post-processing and finishing

High-quality wood milling is always finished according to the intended use. Sanding with different grits removes raised grain and improves the adhesion of paint or oil finishes. Oil and wax treatments highlight the grain, while varnishing or painting provides protection against wear and moisture. If parts are assembled, we ensure accurate fits and clean edges through wood machining (e.g. concealed fixings, consistent grooves). This way, CNC wood milling delivers a result that is both aesthetically refined and mechanically functional.
